Providing Healing, Recovery and Growth

Counseling for Individuals, Couples and Families

Make an appointment

When we receive a call, we realize your need is important and seek to respond within 24 hours. In our initial phone conversation, we will talk with you to gain a basic understanding of your problem and discuss how we might be able to help. If you decide to make an appointment to meet, we will also discuss meeting times and expectations, fees, use of insurance, etc.

The assessment process will continue during the first few sessions. Even as we talk about your immediate problems, we will seek to know you more fully as a person and generate a positive, therapeutic relationship. Out of this assessment, we will develop an initial understanding of what’s going on and decide on the next best step.

Depending on the issue and the needs presented, recommended steps may include one or more of the following: individual, couple, or family counseling, support group participation, or coaching. We will also explore ways for you to enhance your personal strengths and support systems. We are used to working with other professionals as needed (e.g. psychiatrists, psychologists, physical and occupational therapists, massage therapists, ministers, teachers) to determine the most effective way to help you.

Evaluation of progress in counseling will be continuous. The course of treatment will be determined as goals are set and reached. Counseling is always voluntary. At its best, the end of treatment is a mutually agreed upon decision which acknowledges and celebrates new growth for individuals and families.
